There are many reasons and variables that could account for your bill being so high. 


It could be due to running out of data and you have therefore been charged the out of bundle rates, you could have sent a MMS (multimedia messages - these can be a picture message, an attachment that consisted of a GIF, an emoji etc) going abroad and incurring the bolt on prices, texting competition numbers ie capital give me the cash, make me a winner, calling international or premium rate numbers ie 0845, 090, 0800 numbers.
