This all depends on if you want to keep the existing broadband line. If yes then an engineer will not need to visit site, this will all be done back end and you will just need to plug in the router. If you need or have been sold a new broadband line then an engineer will most likely visit site to install a new socket, on occasion Openreach may reuse an old line to take over and not attend site. If this is the case and the socket is in the wrong area of your site we can request them to visit.

For FTTP and SOGEA connections this works in the same manner however uses an ONT socket rather than the traditional DSL socket, The ONT is commonly installed in your comms room.
